Delaware - Newark
Christiana Care Health Services Program
Hidden Gem community program. Level 1 trauma center with very high volume and great pathology. The attendings are all laid back, smart and like to teach. Plenty of procedures available for residents and a strong IR department with ESIR and Independent IR Residency. Categorical program with included TY year which includes two months of radiology at the end where you essentially act like an R1. Graduates have gone on to match at competitive fellowships at places like Penn, UCSF and Hopkins. In terms of resources, they have everything from an equipment perspective that you would see at a major academic institution and the hospital overall is really nice. Plenty of moonlighting opportunities here and at the affiliated children's hospital in Wilmington, DE.
area is extremely boring and delaware as a whole is kind of a dangerous state
